Finally got down to Bob’s and picked up my Top Box. It was not a bad ride, I though I was going to take RT9 down and cut across Annapolis bay bridge. That did not happen RT9 had closures and detours so I wound my way there, not sure what roads but it took a while.
Weather was not to bad, topped out at around 57. I did get to try the heated grips on the way home once the sun went down, it started to get chilly. Weather is supposed to be good tomorrow so might be at it again. Still getting used to the bike. Need to get some more miles on it so I can get the break in service done.
The new bike is home
So I rode the new bike home on 1/30/2013. 110 mile ride home from the dealer. The conditions were wet and dirty with lots of salt on the road. The bike is a lot different from anything I have owned before. Defiantly not a cruiser.
It was a good ride, and looking forward to getting more time in the saddle, need to get some miles on it before the xcountry trip. Need to figure out all the features, and get the first service done.
